A Summer Picnic at Centennial Park: Mini Sessions for Families in Nashville

Mini sessions for the families that romanticize the little moments.

Centennial Park has a beauty about it. The way the sunlight filters through the trees, giving us dappled shade so we can slow down with our littles and just sit, for a bit and be. And if you’re like me, you love all the dog-watching.

Centennial Park provides the perfect backdrop. With its winding paths, gentle water, and tall trees, it’s a quiet corner of Nashville where families can slow down together. Bring a blanket, a favorite snack, and just enjoy one another. I’ll be there quietly alongside, making space for your session to unfold.

These “Picnic at the Park” sessions are relaxed, playful, and full of warmth. They’re not about posing, smiling, or performing. They’re about being—with your people, in a beautiful place, doing what comes naturally.

These sessions are short and sweet—ideal for families who want something meaningful without a big production. Come as you are. Bring your joy, your chaos, and your tolerance for TN heat.

Why Have Photos in the Summer Instead of the Fall?

I love photos all the year long, trust me! Fall has the foliage, spring has the blossoming trees, and summer has the beautiful light! Summer also has a more relaxed schedule with no school and you get the chance to wear a different color palette and textures.

I feel summer photos are perfect for framing. They have a warmth and calm that lends itself to wall art so beautifully.

Let’s spend a little time outside this summer. I’d love to see you there.

How to Book Yours

These sessions are available to book online.

If you need a different date or time, just send me an email and we’ll set it up.

I have no idea what time really works for you, so the times listed are just starting points.

Once you’re all booked in, I will send you an email and answer your questions and guide you with What to Wear.

What You (can) Bring:

A list of options for your session:

  • Snacks and lots of drinks

  • I love a champagne toast idea for mom and dad

  • Snacks should be held in cute containers, packaging removed. Mom above brought popcorn in mason jars and it was perfect!

  • Easy book to read if your kids enjoy that

  • Little toy planes that can be built quick for kids to “fly”, kinda like these…

  • Bubbles!

What I Bring:

  • These are held at such an easy spot. Parking is literally right behind us, and right by the shady trees and water. You’re not walking the whole park of the location!

  • I bring a quilt for you so you don't have to lug yours around

  • Bubbles, but, by all means, bring more

  • Just enough guidance to keep your session flowing and peaceful

Only 1-Saturday left!
