Welcome to Five Pence Photography! I’m Bethany, the owner and photographer dedicated to relaxed newborn sessions in Nashville, or anywhere, I will travel. I am coming to your home, you won’t even have to pack your new diaper bag! This not only provides convenience but also adds a sentimental touch to your newborn experience.
Every session is designed to be relaxed, cozy, and wonderfully simple, just like those precious moments with your new baby. As a mom of three, I understand that life with a newborn can feel overwhelming. That’s why I come to you! I believe homes are where the heart is, and yes, where the mess is too. In the comfort of your own home, I’ll capture the adorable details:the tiny fingers, sleepy smiles, and even the occasional diaper drama. In-Home does not mean we can’t go outdoors! I’m all too happy to photograph in your yard or garden, porch, sidewalks, or local park - let’s add the variety!

Hey, I’m Bethany.
Life gets pretty hectic, especially when you add a newborn—HA! Trust me, I understand; I’ve been through it three times myself. I even moved around the world while my kids were small! Eventually, we found our home in Tennessee, where I started offering in-home newborn sessions and downtown family sessions in Nashville.
The pace of parenthood is why my photography sessions are all about keeping things relaxed and cozy. Whether it’s pets running around, toddlers being silly, or a hungry baby needing a snack or a quick diaper change, it’s all part of the fun and your new reality!
Every moment—big or small—is worth photographing. I promise that these sessions will be filled with laughs and genuine smiles.
It’s usually in the chaos we make the best pictures and have the most laughs.
